In this time of climate emergency, digital tools offer a solution to measure how much of a country’s carbon is being preserved and how much is being emitted; how much is being exported and how much imported.

In the same way in which a central bank’s balance sheet plays a critical role in the functioning of a country’s economy, an environmental balance sheet can serve as the ledger for the health of a country’s natural assets.

The BIS has challenged central banks and industry to develop solutions to meet the challenge of measuring the value of sovereign carbon. SODA’s Carbon Reserve platform offers central banks, ministries of finance and ministries of the environment to engage in this project. Please contact us to find out more.
